I always wanted to be Captain Kirk when I was a kid. I had a yellow t-shirt and the nozzle off my mum's garden hose so I could run around zapping bad guys.
Playing you is a dream, but no offense - I wouldn't want to actually be any of you. Too much stress and potential danger. Like, I'd have a nervous breakdown within days if I had to be in charge of the health of however many people are on the ship. Eight hundred? Jesus.
I bet you could help me come up with some ideas. Oh, I don't know. Sitting in the chair, exploring space and being generally awesome. Maybe an away mission. I'm sure you'd find a way.

This seems like an illogical question - is it mentally sound to wish you were another individual when the opportunity is, at best, improbable?

In fact, I think its quite healthy to be able to vocalize dreams and wishes like this. The fact that its improbably is what makes it fun.
You do know what fun is, do you not, Commander?

I suspect our definition of "fun" diverges on several topics, Doctor.

And you? Can you give me an honest example of what you do for fun?

I wouldn't have thought of Admiral Pike but he's a great choice.

I have it on good authority he can't say no to a woman who takes charge.

Really? I'm going to have to keep that in mind, 'cause Jim in a collar would be so hot.

You still wanna be Jim, or are you happy enough being me?

(Now Jim, he's the one you have to watch out for...)

Oh ho, you could be Jim right now. Two peas in a pod, you are.
You know, we need an away mission to the planet of doppelgangers.
It would involve an intensive and simultaneous physical examination of the two of you. Hope you don't mind.
