Seven it is. I'll pick you up.
Leonard napped the rest of the afternoon, then found a pair of jeans and a pressed shirt in the back of his closet. It was strange, being here again
He needed to see Jim, see what had happened during Jim's interview with Starfleet. The kid had been hard as hell to get a hold of, but Bones knew from experience that when Jim wanted to talk to him, he'd find him.
But there was someone else who he wanted to see. Paula had been a good friend and when they needed something from each other, sometimes more. She's rushed home too, after they reached spacedock - hell, they all had. Now he wanted to catch up with her.
It was a few minutes after seven when he arrived at her door.
The rest of the day had been quiet. Paula had cleaned house, putting away laundry and changing the sheets, glad to have dinner to look forward to. She hadn't seen Leonard in weeks. Sometime on board, maybe, or at the spacedock. Paula wasn't sure.
They had an easy friendship, more when they needed it, and as she changed into jeans and her favorite shirt Paula was looking forward to seeing him again. She spared a quick glance in the mirror as she opened the door. Her smile was warm, if not as bright as usual.
Yeah, she had that look on her face, one he recognized in so many of the survivors. But Paula was dearer to him that those others, and instinctively he reached out and pulled her into a hug.
"Hey you," he said, dropping a little kiss on the top of her head. She felt small in his arms. "Glad to see you back on your feet."

"Hi," she said quietly.
