After receiving the message from Harold, Bones walked over to the worktable he'd been using to play with the neuralcortal suppressor devices that he'd given Harold and Sulu

"I think it's well deserved, Harold," Bones chuckled honestly, "and I'm so very glad for you."
Bones opened his mouth to speak, then noticed the others around. Motioning Harold into his office, Bones grabbed the small devices and closed the door behind them. "I really enjoyed our talk the other evening," he began, heading toward the set of chairs he had, so they didn't have to speak across the expanse of his desk. "I thought a lot about it afterward."
Bones looked up. "At that time, you seemed as if things might be working out for you and your..." he smiled, looking down, "well working out for you, at any rate. Hope that's still the same."
Christine entered Sickbay, smoothing her skirt under her hands as she glanced around for Dr. McCoy. She felt slightly self-conscious in her differently-styled uniform, but just couldn't bring herself to give it up for one of the uniforms here. Not yet, anyway.
Seeing McCoy busy with a patient, Chapel seated herself near his office to wait until he was free.
"Howdy," he called out to the other nurse Chapel, who seemed familiar enough. These alternate universes never failed to make his head hurt a little. "You can't be so bored that you're looking for something to do?" he asked, his tone slightly hopeful.
Chapel stood at his approach and gave him an embarrassed smile. "Well, since you ask...that's exactly why I'm here, Doctor. If I'm going to be here for the foreseeable future, I might as well make myself useful."
McCoy leaned back against one of the consoles. "That would be fantastic, really," the relief obvious in his face. He looked around at the medical bay. "Not sure if anything here is unfamiliar - haven't noticed much changes in technology between the two universes, but..." he shrugged, "haven't asked much about that, either."
He went over and pointed at the only patient currently housed with them. "Things are sorta strange around here right now. Even more strange than usual, if you can believe that," and proceeded to tell her about the actors on board.

Heh. He'd actually made it to Sickbay. It was the longest walk of his life, he thought. This was the worst and best thing he'd ever had to ask for.

Taking McCoy's hand, he shook enthusiastically. "Thank you, sir."
Heee. He motioned at the uniform. "What do you think?"
