McCoy family dinner (Bones, Emma, Joanna with special guests John Grimm and George Kirk)
Bones wasn't nervous.
He was about to host a little dinner for his newly returned from the dead mother, his daughter from an alternative future, his duplicate from another reality and George Kirk.
Kirk wasn't back yet... and to be honest, Bones wasn't sure he was coming. The whole family thing really didn't appeal to Kirk, and Bones knew that, and didn't want to push. Maybe he'd come to the next one, provided this one wasn't a train wreck and they wanted to have another one.
The galley was supposed to be delivery their meal shortly, so Bones just picked up around the cabin, tidying. He looked around, happy at the sight of their belongings intermingling. Even after living together at the Academy, their things didn't seem to just mix like this. This room - it looked like a home again.
He shook his head, laughing at himself as the door chimed. Wasn't time to get all girly and shit. Company was coming over.
