[The second she walks in, there's a young boy sitting on top of the podium the priest would preach from. Merem, of course, waves as she comes in.]

[She holds the door against her for the moment, taking in the internal view of the place. Aurica then walks up to the boy, albeit a little slowly.]

Hello.. [Noticing the podium, she asks,] do you work for the Church?

In a way, Aurica, I do. [And yes, he cheats on names. He knows what his rat knows.]

You...you know my name? [She blinks multiple times, her chest caught in breath.]

[She was curious, but something about the lack of information intimidated her enough to be dissuaded, though she couldn't place it. Then she remembered something her not!parents talked about before, as well as other people she met. Well, if we have things like talking rats and kings, I guess it takes all kinds of beings here.. A thought perhaps a bit too ironic.]

I heard there was a Church here, and I wanted to visit it. There are Churches back where I'm from.. [She glances to the ceiling and windows, murals and glass paintings likely adorning them.]

[Her gaze shifts back to you.] Catholic..? No, we had the Church of Elemia for a religion.. [She glances to the floor and pews to her side before looking back again.] This Church...sort of reminds me of back home, in a way. It feels very similar.

I do say that sounds quite a bit like heresy.

Not in my world. It was the only kind of religion there. There were people who could have been called 'heretics' back there, but that wasn't us. [What's with this guy...?]

Her eyes opening as she realizes, she takes a step back, an arm moving towards the chest of her Mayfield clothes. It is then that her view catches a large cross hanging on the wall behind you. It's nothing at all like the statue... It feels both ominous and oppressing, even if it fills her with an unknown sorrow.

She releases her gaze, and looks back to you.]

...But, if people just come from different worlds here, it shouldn't matter, right..?
