Hey everyone! I just wanted to mention that I've spent the last week sorting out redundancies in the archive, as well as alphabetising pairings for both ease of navigation and to limit those redundancies in the first place. Yes, I know, I'm crazy and pedantic

It's like that in most adult/teenager pairings the adult's name is listed first in the pairing label's order that is most widespread.

I always just assumed that (in comics fandom at least) the guy is way more likely to be the more common character. Like, there are SO many Dick pairings, it makes sense that they get listed like Dick/Babs, Dick/Garth, Dick/Roy, Dick/Selina, etc. If this was a list of mostly femslash pairings with some het, I wonder if it would be the other way around (Selina/Babs, Selina/Dick, Selina/Dinah, Selina/Zinda, etc.)
But in most fandoms, as it is, you're probably right.

*hands you commemorative golden shovel for that particular Herculean task*
I figured the pairings were basically alphabetical at first (well, at first first, the listings were by superhero name rather than secret identity; Hawkgirl and Wonder Woman are still listed that way and they're the two females with the largest het collections), and then additional pairings were added for the "person what has the most pairings already." So, there was an entry for Wally West already before there was ever an entry for Linda, so it was listed as "Wally/Linda," with even odds as to whether the person making the memory would remember to add an entry for "Linda Park." (Or, what liviapenn said.)
So overall, while patriarchy has something to do with it, I think it's more a matter of the "male character was already listed due to a slash story archived earlier" factor in this particular case.

Hawkgirl has been hard for me to sort, because I have to read all the stories to figure out who she is; I've been avoiding it. *g*
I find it telling that Kory is always put first in the pairing, despite a category for Dick likely existing long before one for Koriand'r.

The Kory/Dick thing is funny. :D I wonder who did that? (And that's the other thing about "how things got their names." We're beholden to whoever was the first to put a pairing in the list.)

Also, I've been thinking of sorting the Legion characters so they match up with the others, that is: Civilian name (Superhero name). Does anyone have an opinion on this? Some of them are split between the two currently and it's hard to call which way to go.

I'm all for matchiness, but I'm by no means an authority.
