Just saw this flyer from J's journal. I knew I'd seen something with an international dj listed at the top.

Very strange indeed. No idea what that was all about.

On a completely unrelated note, I think I remember you posting about your new monitor? Did you get the Benq 767-12? Just curious to see how you like it. Pay day is this week, and prices are going down because the 8ms monitors are coming out. :)

Yes indeed, I got the "LCD monitor 17" BenQ FP767-12, w/speakers, Black/Silver".

Apart from the one dead pixel, I am deleriously happy with it, it's just wonderful.

Oh, the speakers are completely worthless, but I'm sure a musical type like yourself wouldn't be looking to rely on the built-in speakers on a monitor anyway. :-)

It's funny how you can end up paying more to NOT have something. The Samsung monitors look really nice and have no speakers but the price is unjustifiably more.

So text is sharp, games are good (I guess WoW is the current fave - what res do you run it at?)?

Maybe I can do something rock and roll and put stickers all over the speakers. :)

Text is sharp, WoW is good - all running at 1280x1024. I was playing Half-Life 2 at a lower res and it sampled it just fine, didn't look blocky or uneven at all.

Samsung have apparently just announced a "zero dead pixels" policy - even a single dead one is good for a warranty replacement. So that's something to consider with their higher price.
