Sam’s eyes squint against the light. It’s not even that bright really but since he’s been…well, he’s not one hundred percent sure what he’s been, but it feels like maybe quite a while since they’ve seen the light of day.
When he’s finally able to blink them open, he spots a figure leaning up against the window looking out. She hasn’t seen him yet

Sorry...not sorry about all the emotions. Means I did something right there.
I like to think that Sam has at least mentioned the name McNally. In the same way he told Andy about Sarah, I like to think that one time, when his guard was down, she got a glimpse of how much 'McNally' meant to him.
Worrying - totally a Swarek thing. And the Blame Game - YES, totally a McSwarek thing.
Hey...thanks for playing!!

I don't picture Andy being there next to his side when he wakes up. I love how it was Sarah and she was trying to get the story out of him--not his story, story, though with Andy there 24/7, SHE KNEW!
And yes, the behavior of Marlo in 412 and Sam in 413 pretty much show that they are over with.
Love, LOVE that Andy was in the bathroom though and came out. And unshed tears she held back. And wanting to leave. But him saying stay...
I love them and their complicated-ness because it makes Sam and Andy THEM. Like Sam, I wouldn't want it any other way :)
great job and thanks for this present!!!

Nice to know I haven't totally lost it. Just had to sit down and do it
I kind of like the idea of Sarah being the first one to talk to him too, with her trying to get that 'story' out of him, but Sam being Sam. Of course Andy not being far away either though.
Yeah, I think they're pretty much over. It irritates me a little. Not that they are over but that Sam didn't man up and end it. I'm not saying that he didn't grow in S4 because I know he did. But this would have been real growth for me - him facing his feelings and actually telling Marlo that it was over not just letting it all fall to the wayside. I think they were scared though that they'd already thrown enough at Marlo - some fans already think she's on the verge of suicide.
I had to have him say 'Stay'. I mean what else is there.
This is them messy and I can't wait to see where this is going.

So much lost time...if I want to keep up my average I have to write at least 7 more before the season. YIKES.

My other one-shot idea involves Sam waking up to find that Oliver has been moved into his room. Thought that might be fun.

WWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! Picture me skipping around like a loon throwing rose petals in the air in celebration, climbing up onto the roof and SHOUTING. . ."DENISE'S MUSE IS BACK----SHHHHHEEEEEEEE'S BBBBAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACCCCCKKKKKK!!!! AND SHE'S STILL FABULOUS AS EVER!!!"
Okay, enough with the caps lock. This was just so freakin' yummy. I wanted it to keep going so I could read for hours and hours. This is EXACTLY how I would like 501 to open. A much overdue appearance by Sarah Swarek, a little confusion, glistening eyes and the undeniable look and feel of love. SIGH(ooops, caps lock snuck in there again).
Bravo, my friend, BRAVO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You mentioned so much of what I'd love to see at the beginning of S5 - Sarah, some apprehension maybe as they figure out they are both in the same place now, the undeniable look and feel of LOVE. YES PLEASE!
Glad you liked it! After so long, it's sometimes hard to know.
