Jesse slowed as she mounted the Brownstone steps. A light was on, inside. That was good.

This is it. I ring to doorbell, someone answers, and I get help. A warm place to sit, someone to look at all the bumps and tell me I'm fine, and someone running down what's happened since I've been gone... including how long I've been gone.

Here's hoping that a confused, out-of-it and beat up hero who's disappeared for a bit and isn't sure she's in the right dimension is something they can handle. I'm not sure I can much longer.

Jesse stood and stretched, wincing a bit, but Alan had fixed the worst.

"Thanks, guys, for the welcome. I should go check on my secret identity, and see if I've been evicted or something. I'll be around, I'm sure, filling out paperwork on returning from a long absence."

Jesse picked up the two halves of her goggles.

"Although, if I'm back in five minutes, it's because they changed the locks."
