Coast-a Costa Linda

On one of the remote edges of the island, away from the civilized end of it, several folks in wetsuits wash ashore.  Some wetter than others.

Because they don't make wetsuits for dogs, you know.

But they're there.   And it doesn't appear that anyone has been seen.

The chimp isn't built well for swimming. He learned how to use SCUBA equipment once, years ago, but even that led to people shooting at him. He still doesn't think much of the water.

He shucks the gear and knucklewalks up the beach, climbing into one of the trees for cover, then looking down at the others to follow their lead.

Rose in point works for Rose, even if the idea of running with a chimp and an intelligent dog kind of plays with her head. Having that boxing glove ?! arrow whir past her head does a little bit to make her rethink this whole 'helping others' thing, but by the time everyone is ready to move on, she's back in control of herself.

"So...?"

"We keep moving." Sand says, affixing his gasmask to his face. "Inland northeast. Stick to the jungles...Fuentes doesn't seem the type to keep jungle patrol, that should get us to within a mile of somewhere civilized. At that point, I'm hoping Rex can pick up a scent."

Rose nodded and turned to head into the shadows under the trees. She was more comfortable in the 'forests' of buildings at home in New York, but she didn't let that stop her from watching her surroundings and doing her best not to make any noise.

Rex followed after her, ears up and nose to the ground as he trotted along. Just because they hadn't gotten close enough for him to really search for his target scent didn't mean he couldn't still keep track of things using his nose.

Hank is, as usual, Ass-End Charlie on their little swim. As such, he's the last one to stagger up to the beach and flop onto the sand, weakly crawling at the gear that's currently making his life even more unpleasant.

He really was not enjoying the object lesson on not missing what you have until it's gone. He'd almost got lost on this little swim.

Too used to homing in on minds, not accustomed to having to rely on his very, very shaky sense of direction.

Fortunately, Tara's photographic memory is very handy. Even though this is another entrance they came in, Tara remembers the general theme of the layout, where they were likely to have camera and tripwires and so forth. With the occasional hand on his should she helps Hank try not to set off anything.

This place can't help but make her edgy. Same with Green Boss. He keeps looking at her as if wondering when the earth-shattering kaboom is going to happen.
