Debriefing in the Bat Cave

Batman was pissed. Pissed and he doesn't say a word to Eddie till they get back to the Cave after seeing Catwoman. In fact, as soon as Bruce is clear of the Batmobile, he drags his cowl off his head and punches a stalagmite as he passes it, shattering the fragile calcified structure.

Eddie has been rather unnerved by the silence and the anger practically radiating off Bruce. It makes him want to turn on his cloak but he resists, not wanting to risk attracting attention to himself while Batman's angry.

When they get back to the cave, Eddie is slow to climb out of the Batmobile. He winces as the stalagmite is shattered, pulling his mask off and letting it hang back. He's worried but he's quiet, not sue what to say.

Audibly growling, Bruce stalks up the stairs to the computer and flings himself into the seat, and then steeples his fingers. He knows he has got to get a handle on his anger, because right now he's scaring the bejesus out of Eddie - and he knows it.

After a few moments, and quite a few deep breaths, Bruce can speak in a normal tone. "You deserve an explanation." he states to Tiny Bat.

Eddie is more scared than he'll admit. Part of his mind is flashing back to when his father would come home angry and drunk. That usually meant a beating. He swallowed when he heard that growl, following slowly and keeping his distance.

When Batman speaks to him and doesn't growl, Eddie jumps. "S-sir?" he asks, mentally sighing as he adds ten more burpees to his total.

Bruce ignores the stutter. INstead he just turns to look at Eddie, his expression more grim than Eddie may have ever seen it.

"Selina Kyle, also known as Catwoman, is my most recent ex." he says bluntly. "We'd probably have been married by now, if she hadn't thrown her ring back at me, shot Black Mask, and then left town. Tonight was the first time I've seen her since then."
