Bat screeches were the noise Virgil woke up to. Even without opening his eyes, he knew where he was. After all, it wasn't the first time he'd awakened in the Batcave. "As far as I know, neither of you are supposed to be here." The chair turned, revealing a old and wrinkled version of Bruce Wayne.

Minutes later, the duo arrived on the roof of building on the outskirts of the city proper. Moments afterward, the Batman, one not as broadchested as his predecessor, descended on rocket jets.

"Static, good to see you again," he said, grasping the other teenager's hand in greeting. "Who's the guy in the tux?"
