It's the middle of the night when Hal calls him. He doesn't need to sleep very often, but the Blackest Night had taken a lot out of him, between the dying and the Black Lanterns. Clark picks up the JLA communicator and bolts right up.

"Hal? What's the emergency, and I swear to Rao, if it's 'Ollie can't drive' again, I am not getting you this time."

Sure, Hal only did that once years ago, back when the League was new, but he'd never let the man live it down. He should know better than to give Oliver Queen rum. Much less five kinds in one shot.

What with all this emotion business lately, it had inspired him a bit. Robot 5 had become a bit of a dreamer as such. Robot 1 had gained a swelled head, Robot 2 a temper. The one he felt worst for was Robot 7. He was just convinced everything was his fault now. Robot 2 was more than happy to let him believe that ( ... )

Behind him, as he comes, Hal has a large opaque green orb, over 10 feet in diameter. Whatever he's bringing along, he doesn't want Clark to see... at least, not at first.

He lands before the Man of Steel, setting the green orb behind him.

"I have an admission to make, Clark," Hal says. "After the events of last night... I thought I should go see Krypton. Just to... make certain that..." He pauses, his voice dropping off.
