Robin nodded to his partner before getting into the passenger seat. "As ready as I've ever been. Let's go."
Tim put any doubts he had to one side. Doubts could get him killed, he needed to focus on the mission and get himself back on track. There was a killer out there and Tim was going to help stop him.
Looking over at his mentor Tim saw the same grim set determination he felt within himself. "Where are we headed first?" he asked.

"Old town Gotham." he replied as he then put the car into gear and applied gentle pressure to the peddle. The Batmobile didn't need a ton of encouragement to roll down the causeway towards the exit-mouth of the Batcave. It was almost like being on auto pilot, except for the first time in a long time he felt like he was the one driving again.
"I thought that we would see what Gotham's Finest might have left behind or missed at the last crime scene."

Robin nodded at the plan, it was a long shot to find anything after the police had been there already but they had to start somewhere. "And after that the morgue?" he asked.

Before long the two of them were cruising towards old town Gotham, their destination an old run down apartment building in one of the lowest rent parts of town. Bruce knew this part of town well - it was at one time Selina's stomping grounds, though he didn't know if she cared for these slums any more. He also didn't care to ask her.
The sleek technology and rumbling purr of the Batmobile was almost silent as he pulled up to the alley behind the building and moved to cut the engine. He turned dark eyes on the boy and said softly "We may not find anything, but if we're lucky, they were sloppy. They've been getting more and more sloppy lately - which could work to our advantage."
