Ralph and Sue are helping out around the house. Ralph has been taking up a fair share of the heroing, using Bruce's old patrol routes, but he's at the house right now. He's staying mostly out of the way to let Bruce handle his business, but is around, just in case something is needed.
She eyes Kathy in the suit, and Elongated Man is here. Huh
"You said 'in person,' so you get 'in person.'" She takes another drink of her coffee. Today, she's being partially held up by an anti-gravity belt Wayne Tech was developing and partially under her own power. It's disconcerting, but at least she's back on her feet-ish. "How's Alfred?" She knows, of course, but she needs to hear it from him.
After everyone have filed out some, Bruce and Kathy are left more or less alone. Silently he swings his gaze to her and he searches her face for a long moment before saying "Thank you. For at least trying."
She shrugs. "Least I can do," she offers, moving to his seat by the computer. "You're trying, too."
She moves behind him and begins to rub his shoulders -- feeling tension more solid than gravel. "You're not in this alone, Bruce. That's the whole point."
"Try telling that to Dick." he replies, his voice low and aggravated. "And it's not about me being alone, it's about them not having help when they need it.. and as usual Dick is too busy trying to read between the lines."
