A woman comes in, one of the technicians, she's got another pile of papers and a stiff cup of coffee. “Mr. Dayton?”

“Laura, just...add those to the pile.” His arm is going numb - just another reminder of how little time he has to finish all this. “I'm working.”

Laura looks over the plans. “I've heard about the compound. Synthetic growth hormone?”

“It's meant to be,” Dayton says. “The formula hasn't been perfected, but this is the one showing the most promise, especially when it comes to putting it into aerosol form.”

And it took me bribing half of Kenya to get to the caves with the spectral analysis equipment.

“Let Gregory know. We've got that meeting in three days, and the delivery system needs to be in place.”

She nods. “Want me to email him?”

“No, tell him in person.” Dayton pauses and thinks a moment. “Laura, I've got something else. Will you head into that next room and get me the prescription sitting on the table? I've been sitting here so long my leg's gone numb.”
