It takes Jen a while to pull herself from the couch and get to the door. Whoever it is better have a damn good reason for bothering her. And if it's one of those teenagers, she's just going to slam the door in her face. Even if the building is on fire. Gibbs is the last person she expects, but at the same time, she isn't really surprised. She should have figured he'd be the only one ballsy enough and stupid enough. She doesn't say anything, just looks at him expectantly. Clearly he wants something.

He nods, acknowledging this moment with her. And then he leaves her in the relative peace she has; moments of peace for her are about to be few and far between. Especially if Vance's corruption goes back far enough that it influences past cases and convictions.

He makes his way back to the car, knowing that his night is far from over. There are arrangements to be made and notes still to go over. But he takes a moment to look at the horses and the life of the ranch.

Jen must be miserable.
