I have a TARDIS!

Really! Of course, it's only about a foot tall, and it doesn't seem to travel in time and space, but it lights up and makes noises! I like that part a lot. The cats like that part a little less ( Read more... )

The TARDIS is a lot of fun. It's one of those frivolous purchases that is completely useless, but all the better because of that. It lights up and makes noise! And it's blue!!!!!!!!!

But it's bigger on the inside, so that's all right! :-)

Yes, our Christmas specials vary. In essence, they're just 'an extra episode - often extra-long - broadcast over the two weeks around Christmas and New Year'. They may well be Christmas-themed, sometimes just vaguely wintry, but sometimes not. Just an extra ep. Only privileged and popular shows get allowed them.

(I have a Violet icon now, too.)

Yes, DA will be annoying for you - if they carry on as with S1 and S2, you'll get S3 in January, and I will have smugly finished it by then (it started early Sept last year).

Ooooooh, Violet icon!!!!!!! I still absolutely love Violet. I think she's become one of my all-time favorite female characters on television.

You guys get new DA in September, and I have to wait until January???!!!! Where is that international iPlayer they keep hinting at, but never deliver?

Oh well, at least we'll be getting it! At least, I assume we will be. I can't imagine PBS won't continue to purchase the show. Downton Abbey is really popular here -- even my parents have watched it. In fact, they started watching it before I did!

I don't know, but that was how it worked last year. We'll see - maybe they'll make us all wait!

Violet is great, yes.

A Tardis! I'll take it off your hands if it scares the cats too much... :D

Oh, I am so planning on watching Downtown Abbey when I leave my job... ;)

Sorry, but the cats seem to be getting used to it now. I'll let you know, though!

And yes yes yes, watch Downton Abbey! It's absolutely marvelous. I'm not even a big historical drama person, and it completely hooked me.
