This is your life, you think, with neither contentment nor disappointment. It's nothing more than a simple conclusion you've come to a million times before.

It doesn't seem like a life, but more like a book ripped apart, its pages scattered across the sands to be washed away by the tide. A disjointed series of abstract events that never relate to each other, other than the fact that the characters are the same and everyday feels less like a journey and more like a freefall into forgetting everything you've ever known.

There's no solid ground, just the feeling of everything passing you by before you realize you needed to reach for it.

For him.

It's easy to forget, sometimes. That there were others leaning on you, are waiting on you.

Wanting you.

It takes a breath, standing before the ocean with the sun burning into your back, to remember how much you've always needed him.

He's there. Standing just beyond the horizon, his eyes just as entrancing as they've always been, and you can see him as clearly as you can hear his voice, singing remnants of songs you've always kept with you.

Wasurenaide.

You go to him.
