YOOSU

The other three had gone out for the night; just me and Junsu were left, which didn’t usually happen. He was in an uncharacteristically bad mood. He hadn’t talked to his brother in awhile, there was no good food in the apartment, and no one was calling him. Prickly Junsu was prickly.

He flopped onto the couch and looked over at me in the arm chair and I saw the instant that his glowering turned into depression.

“Yoochun, I’m tired. I don’t want to go out. I don’t want to work. I don’t want to be alone.”

“Why are you freaking out?” I asked.

“Because I hate when people are gone and people are leaving and people aren’t around.”

“Hey, chill out. I’m not going anywhere.”

He looked up at me again and suddenly it hit me that I was telling the truth to him, a deeper truth than I had intended.

JAESU

“I don’t want to hear any more words coming from your mouth! Just shut up!” Junsu shoved Jaejoong away and followed it up by hurling a pillow at him. Then he put his hands over his ears and babbled like a little kid.

“How about words going into my mouth?” Jaejoong said. He tackled Junsu into the wall, and, true to his word, swallowed Junsu’s furious protest.

HOMIN

“If you and I had a following like Jaejoong and I do, would you like me better?” Yunho asked me. Needless to say I was a little surprised. To be more specific, I dropped my shaving cream on the floor and stared into the mirror to see Yunho behind me.

“What are you talking about?”

“I mean for some reason everyone thinks Jae and I are together, which is ridiculous and impossible. But it makes me and Jaejoong consider it anyway, even though we’d never do it. Have you ever considered being with me?”

I stared at him in the mirror until finally I had the courage to turn around and face him. My hips brushed his.

“Yunho, I can’t make sense of the words you are saying to me.”

He gave me that blank look he gets when he can’t think of what to say next.

“Do you like me?” I pressed.

“That’s not the point. I’m saying, if I did, what would you think?”

“I would think, “How is this any more possible than Yunho and Jaejoong being together’?”

He smiled softly.

“I can’t explain why. But it’s obvious to me.”

“Intriguing…” I said.

“What is?” he asked.

“You are.”

He laughed.

“That’s a start.”

YUNCHUN

Yunho looks at me and I look at him, and we walk away. The next day we do the same thing over again. This morning he was staring at me over breakfast, and by the time dinner came around I know I’d let him know I was thinking about him too.

Finally the pussy couldn’t take it anymore. He came into the bedroom while I was reading a magazine and I looked up at him calmly over my glasses.

“Yah,” he began, shifting his weight and putting his hands on his hips.

“Hyung.”

“You…what are you doing. I mean. No, I need you to…no.” He didn’t know what he was saying. He’s so fucking adorable when he’s clueless.

“What’s wrong Hyung? You look a little flushed.” I put my magazine down to show him he had my full attention.

“I do? No, I’m not. Nevermind. I forgot what I was going to say.” He began to walk out the door.

“Like hell you forgot,” I muttered. I jumped up and reached out from behind him to shut the door before he could leave. He turned around quickly, looking a little shocked at how close I was.

“What are you doing? I’m busy.”

“Hyung. A little birdie told me something about you.”

“A what did what?”

I leaned in and whispered in his ear. When I pulled back to look at his face, his eyes were wide, and suddenly he was in denial.

“I do not like you Yoochun! What the ----.”

“I don’t like you either!” I said. My voice was appropriately balanced between defensive and ludicrous.

But he didn’t say anything else, he just looked at me.

I was tired of looking, so I kissed him.

“Oh my go---wait, stop!” he said, shoving me away. “I just told you, Yoochun, I don’t like you!”

“I know, I don’t like you either!”

There was another pause, and this time when I leaned in, he wrapped a hand around the back of my neck and pulled me the rest of the way. We kissed for as long as we could without breathing, my hands framing his delicate jaw while one of his arms had gravitated over my shoulder and the other around my waist.

“I don’t like you,” he said between kisses.

“I know. And this isn’t making out,” I added, sneaking my lips to his throat.

“Yoochun. I don’t love you.”

I froze, and looked up at him.

“Really?!”

He gave a little nod, his earnest eyes shiny.

I smiled, my wide cheeks glowing.

“I don’t, too.”

Kiss.
