A Pepper Kind of Pepper (Drabble Challenge 30: Vegetables)

Junsu knew this game.
Whenever a red coloured pepper was slivered and sprinkled sparingly throughout a dish, it was never a good thing.
“What is this?” he asked, carefully watching the other members’ reactions as they ate.
Without missing a beat, Yoochun reached out and pulled Junsu’s bowl toward himself.
“No, no,” Junsu protested. “I want it! But…” He picked out one of the red slivers with his chopsticks and held it in front of Jaejoong. “Hyung, what is this?”
Jaejoong leaned forward and ate the mystery vegetable from Junsu’s chopsticks.
“It’s a pepper, of course,” was his conclusion.
Junsu eyed Jaejoong with suspicion.
“I meant what kind of pepper?”
“A pepper kind of pepper,” he replied.
“Won’t you be embarrassed if it’s just a harmless sweet pepper…” said Changmin.
And as both Changmin and Yoochun were starting to eagerly eye his food, Junsu decided to eat anyway, because, Changmin might be right, it could just be a harmless sweet pepper. He didn’t want to go hungry because he was scared of a pepper.
But of course Junsu knew this game.
Luckily for him, Yunho also knew this game and already had a glass of milk prepared for him.
