I hate my brother in law right now. I don't normally hate him, but right now I want to throttle him. Let me explain. Hubby and I were working off of the same laptop and we'd crammed the thing to the hilt. The memory was done. So Hubby suggested that, until we can save up for a new desk top that we should use the one that no one was using in his ( Read more... )

Thanks Sam... let's hope it doesn't come to that.

Ouch! If you need some help throwing him out the window, lemme know ok? Or if you need someone to beat the crap out of him, let me. I haven't been to karate in almost a year now, and this sounds like the perfect opportunity to shake the rust of my skills. If my brother in law did that to my comp, his arm would no longer be attached to his shoulder and I'd use it to beat the crap out of him with...>.<

Cause if someone is going to fix someone's computer they should have the common courtesy to reinstall the OS and whatever the own would like some help putting on ( IE Photoshop and the like ). :glares:

Yeah, he's being a prat. I am not taking any of this shit with a smile, let me tell you! And I may need some help getting him out the window... he's a fair bit bigger than me. Any help would be appreciated! :D

I know a guy named Angel with a somewhat dubious past. If you need him let me know. *eg*

btw, I am lighting a black candle with "Daz's brother-in-law" inscribed on the side. How dare he screw with my Mary-Sue moments.

btw, Hyacinth is from a pureblood family, I doubt anything you do to her in the course of the story will shock either her or myself, which the long way round means do to her what the muse says needs to be done.

It's a Mary Sue anyway, it should all come right in the end.

*hug*

Oh I don't think Angel's help is needed quite yet, and besides, I'd rather do it myself! ;)

And you're right, being pure blood will help, but still... I think the muses will be satiated soon enough. At least I hope so...

It is a Mary Sue... but we all may have to be a bit angsty before it all turns out! ;)

Threatening to tell the girlfriend about his tentacle porn addiction is perfect. lol For his sake, I hope he fixes it quickly. I would offer 'Trae, but he's busy. Besides, it'd take a couple days for him to get there.

I can't speak for the others, but I don't mind if things get dark. You have carte blanche to do with Rowena whatever the muses decree. I do have to wonder what (or who) Draco's been doing at these gatherings though....

That's a good question, Nan, what exactly has George been up to, or rather who?

*crosses arms and taps toe*

I think he's in big trouble.

I wouldn't worry ladies. I'm sure they're just been sitting back with a bottle or two of elf made wine and... err... enjoying the show?

I'd love it if Trae could help, but of course, I won't interfere! ;) *sigh* I've still got the laptop and I've had to connect the two to send files back and forth, so I should be able to post soon. *crosses fingers*

...are you really sure you want to give me carte blanche? Wow... okay.

A bad day for computers! ginevrasm January 16 2008, 04:43:12 UTC
Today, the powers that be decreed Windows XP should be given unto me. Thus came the arrival of the mighty tech and the transformation of my workstation...

To a nearly useless lump of metal and plastic.

Upgrading from 2000 to XP was too much for the poor little Dell with the expired lease. The blue screen of death was thrown up in surrender many times this afternoon before it was brought back to life. Just barely. Tomorrow the aforementioned tech will return to his resuscitation efforts. Alas, my faithful companion's fate remains uncertain.

You have my sympathies Daz. And if it gets too hard to post, you could maybe email them to someone to post for you?

*huggles the laptop* At least I still have this! I've connected the two so I'm working off two computers now. What a pain in the ass this is.
I'm so sorry you're having problems. Hopefully everything will settle down soon enough, and life can return to some form of normality.
If worse does come to worse, I'll email the chapters off to someone... don't know who yet... and they'll get up. Hopefully, I'll just be able to transfer them back to the laptop and post from there. *shrug*
