Fanfic Meme- Day 2
So after climbing a mountain this morning (under false pretenses. :|) I'll get this done today.
1 - How did you first get into writing fanfic, and what was the first fandom you wrote for? What do you think it was about that fandom that pulled you in?
2 - Name the fandoms you've written in, and how much you've written in that fandom, and if you still write in it.
Oh man... okay lets see...
X-Men was where I started. I've got a couple big fics in there (canon stuff and OC stuff obviously) and I'm kinda sorta getting back to it but not nearly as much as I used to. Most of the stuff I write for X-Men now is MSV related.
Lord of the Rings I've got one big fic in there (written for the hubby person) that I will one day finish. I swear I will.
Fantastic Four. Oh man, so many... fics in there. Though most of them are crossovery but they're there and there's all that Johnny/Peter stuff... yeah, that's one of the big fandoms and I'm not leaving or stopping anytime soon! LOL
Avengers... damn, what haven't I written there? That's the corner of the Marvel universe that I've found my niche. I am most comfortable there (most times with pairings and characters that a lot of the fandom at large kind of ignores...) and I don't think I'm going to stop writing there any time soon. I mean, someone's got to fix the stupid crap Bendis keeps putting out, right? lol
Harry Potter. LOL Okay the only major project I've ever done for HP is the original MSV. There are a few other one shot things and that but... not much. I honestly don't really feel comfortable there and I'll do stuff if people want to see it but I don't usually go there on my own.
Push... just the one fic, but I do want to play with that universe again some time. I've read more than I've written.
Sunshine... hmm, again just the one little drabble and I've read a TON more than I've written. I'm still kind of waiting for the right story to kick me upside the head. Someday... lol
Lately I've dipped my toes into the Marvel movie-verse too... but we'll see if that lasts. Also done a little Merry Gentry stuff but that was more of a collection of ideas kind of thing for ladydeathfaerie and her Faerie Tale MSV. :)
