… * …
Park Yoochun enjoyed life. He lived his life partying and spending his time pleasuring the finer things in life--whether it would be a man or a woman, it did not matter to him.
He had worked at an advertising company for around… a year (actually it was ten months, seventeen days, and fourteen hours--but who was counting?) when he was transferred to another company… due to his fraternization with his clients, coworkers, mailman, and his boss…’s wife.
He had fun there, that was true, but he was being moved to another department, which meant new people, and Yoochun liked to think of himself as a people person. Besides, he had already met one of the workers there, Jung Yunho, and he was quite good looking--if all his employees looked half as good, Yoochun would not mind staying there.
At first, things were quite boring (make out with whatever-her-name-was and annoy his fellow coworkers)…
then he met Kim Junsu…
Park Yoochun’s life just got better, really it did… The same could not be said for the younger male though…
…
His first day there he met Yoona. She was a decent looking girl, liked to flirt and play hard-to-get, but after a kiss or two, she was boring. There was not a connection, well… there was a physical one but that was as deep as it got.
It was the day he first saw Kim Junsu.
Yoochun had seen Junsu come in, jaw drop, blush spread across his face, and a little squeak escape his lips (one in which Yoochun would love to be made again--as long as he was the cause of it). The boy had then stumbled away from the tiny office Yoochun occupied and into the safety of his own.
Yoona was great and all… but Kim Junsu was different.
So, Yoochun pushed the girl away from him, straightened out his clothes, shooed the irritated woman out of his office and made plans to barge into the one next door later on.
…
Sure enough, Yoochun barged into the tiny compartment that housed his cute squeaking coworker later on that day.
He sat himself down in one of the leather seats facing Junsu’s neat desk (far too neat, Yoochun mused) and propped his feet up on it, some of his precious coffee spilling onto the documents that were stacked onto the surface of the wood.
Yoochun watched in amusement as his lovely coworker’s eye twitched, clearly annoyed at the moment, as Yoochun drawled, “Kim Junsu, it’s a pleasure to meet you.”
He felt himself wanting to pout when the other ignored him. He fought back the urge, though, and removed his feet from the table, only to shift his position once more, crossing his legs and drawing attention to his groin. He found himself amused when Junsu’s cheeks heated slightly and his eyes shifted away from the very sociable male’s crotch.
“Like what you see?”
Junsu then glared at him, Yoochun’s smirk widening at the little display of embarrassment and annoyance.
Yoochun cocked his head to the side, studying Junsu, and then started to speak again, only adding to the other man’s clear irritation and want to kill the newest addition to their department.
“Shy? Don’t like to talk? No worries, I’ll be having you screaming at the top of your lungs before long. Bye, Su!”
Yoochun strutted away, opening and closing the office door, but not before taking one last look at his flustered new friend (yes, that was what Yoochun decided to dub Junsu--seeming as though they were not lovers… well, not yet).
Yes, Yoochun was sure that it was only a matter of time, and Junsu would be his. He bit his bottom lip to contain a grin as he slumped into his own messy office, hearing the mumblings of the still-annoyed man next door.
“… he does seem to be the type that would keep his word… Screaming indeed…”
He did not catch much more than that, but he knew what Junsu was talking about. He rapped on the wall, imagining the startled look on his coworker’s face. The man was just too cute.
“Thanks, Su~ I am glad you find my offer appealing.”
Yoochun knew that Junsu’s face was now ten shades of red.
…
A week later, Yoochun was in Junsu’s office again, glancing at pictures that scattered over the desk that Yoochun had so kindly destroyed (coffee stains and scattered pieces of paper). He found one of a slightly younger Junsu (maybe in his late teens) holding onto a pretty girl that looked around the same age. He furrowed his brow at it, wondering why he was never hugged by Junsu like that, then reminded himself that he did not make a very nice first impression nor had they known each other for more than a week…
“Is she your girlfriend?” he found himself asking, his voice rough and slightly louder than he had intended, thrusting the picture into Junsu’s face.
He flushed slightly, hinting to Yoochun that they were not dating, but Junsu did seem to have a bit of a crush on the girl. It only served to bother the coffee addict more, but he tried his best to not let it show.
“Hee Bon is j-just a f-friend!”
Yoochun placed the frame back in its original spot, his eyes resting on the smiling face of his coworker
trapped inside the photograph, and smirked.
“She’s just my type. Mind if I date her?”
Yoochun watched Junsu grow slightly uncomfortable, but the boy nodded nonetheless, mumbling (quite forlornly), “Sure.”
On the outside, Yoochun seemed quite oblivious to the somewhat dejected look the other held in his eyes, but on the inside, all Yoochun wanted to do was to make things better, hold Junsu tight, and make him forget about that girl.
He did not realize that Junsu was wanting the same thing.
…
Another week flew by and Yoochun was beginning to grow tired of Hee Bon. Junsu had stuck by his word, introducing his coworker to his childhood friend, and then let them be. It was nice at first, going on an innocent date, nothing but hand-holding and soft talks about themselves, and Yoochun was reminded of his cute and sweet coworker. Yoochun liked the girl well enough…
…until she started showing up during his breaks--the ones he usually spent in Junsu’s office.
He tried pushing her away, but that only made her angry… And when she was angry, she got horny. So… his office was usually filled with hate sex. Sex had never felt so wrong to him in his life… he could not stand it. Especially when he ended up nailing the girl into the wall that separated his cubicle from Junsu’s. He felt like the biggest bastard in the world.
So… after that one week with Hee Bon, Yoochun ended things. He got quite a bit of angry messages and weird threats, but he was finally able to see Junsu again. That one week without him was torture, and he did not have a clue as to why.
So, he tried to enter Junsu’s office, but the door was locked. He banged on the light wood, pleaded with his friend, and nearly broke down because he missed Junsu so much. All he got in response was music blaring through the speakers and a few broken sobs--but he could not tell if they were his or Junsu’s…
And that was when Yoochun realized he was in love with his Dolphin-like friend.
…
Another week went by, Yoochun finally making amends with his friend, hugging onto the somewhat flustered boy as he apologized quite a bit. He never wanted to be separated from his cute coworker again, and he had actually said that to Junsu, pinching the boy’s cheeks lightly, as he teased him.
He did not understand how anyone could not adore the nice but shy male.
“Did you hear? Kim Junsu--the kid that usually doesn’t talk--is only here because he is fucking Yunho. Their supposedly really good friends.”
Yoochun paused what he was doing. He turned around to see the two men talking about his cute coworker… saying things that were far from true. Besides, when did Yunho have time to get with anyone… he was too preoccupied with wooing Kim Jaejoong.
“Oh, really? Well, I always heard that Junsu only got the job because he could give pretty good head, making Shim Changmin love him--knowing how big of a pervert he is. And we all know that Yunho looks to Changmin as his son, so… really, Junsu lucked out.”
Yoochun growled, stomping over to the two men, frightening them with the deadly aura that surrounded him. He towered over the two interns, watching with mild humor as the shrunk back away from him.
“If you ever fucking say those things about Junsu again… well, the girls and guys won’t find you so pretty anymore~ The police won’t even be able to identify you. Got it?”
They nodded, whimpering against the wall he cornered them into, two puppies with their tails between their legs. Still slightly irritated, with what they were saying and the fact that he was late for his Junsu-time. And today was their one month anniversary.
Checking his watch again, sighing due to his tardiness (when had he started caring about punctuality?), he went into his office, grabbed the little mug he had bought for the occasion (knowing that Junsu, too, enjoyed coffee), and stuffed it in his opened jacket’s pocket.
He saw Junsu at his desk, oblivious to what the others said about him, which only served to infuriate Yoochun more. How could anyone say such things about someone as sweet as Kim Junsu? He marched over, knocked a few picture frames off the desk
“Want to talk about it?”
He heard the tiny voice, but did not answer it, for fear that he might blow up. He did not want to yell at his cute friend, or bring those bastards into the matter. Junsu was too sweet and innocent to know what those people said about him~ If anyone was going to be having Su like that, it would be Yoochun, he was set on that.
When Yoochun heard the defeated sigh and the resumption of typing, his hard gaze softened, one that he tried his best to mask the love that was held in it. When Junsu looked back up at him, Yoochun leaned over the desk, placed a white ceramic coffee mug (with a cute and happy yellow duck on its glossy surface) down onto the desk, brushing his lips over a reddened cheek teasingly.
Pressing his lips to Junsu‘s ear, he whispered huskily, “Happy one month anniversary.”
With a huge grin on his face, one that would probably be there all day, Yoochun turned on his heel and left the small office before things really heated up.
The older male sighed happily and made his way back into his own cubicle. He was really far too in deep,
drowning in the ocean of Junsu’s heart, and he did not mind one bit that he did not have a life preserver. Junsu was worth it.
Park Yoochun, for the first time in his life, was in love.
…
“Yoochun!”
The said man turned when his name was called, finding a taller and slightly younger male looking at him. Shim Changmin.
“Min, it’s nice to see you. How is your mom? I haven’t seen Jaejoong in quite some time.”
Changmin smiled, taking a seat beside the other perverted male, and answered, “I think my mom is spending quality time with Yunho.”
“Before long you might get yourself a father~”
“As long as I can have you as my perverted and sexy uncle!” Changmin said in a sing-song voice, batting his lashes as he leaned forward more so to his friend.
Yoochun laughed, the low sound vibrating off the walls of the lounge. “Are you thinking about having an incestuous affair with your uncle, Minnie?~”
“Only if you let me~ If not it’s nonconsensual.”
“Your mother will be mad at me for giving you ideas.” Yoochun teased, poking at the younger man’s face.
Changmin tilted his head to the side, pouting cutely (but not as cute as Junsu, Yoochun mused with a small smile) as he said, “But what Joongie doesn’t know, won’t hurt him~”
They shared a laugh, two steaming cups of coffee placed before them. Yoochun looked at his, twirled around the stirring stick and thought of his sweet coworker. Had Junsu realized the little thing he placed on the bottom of the mug? It would not mean much now, but later… Yoochun’s grin broadened.
“Either you just thought of something dirty or you are thinking about your lover boy.”
Yoochun bit his bottom lip to contain his ever-widening grin and replied, “The latter. Although both together would not be so bad~”
“I thought that I was your favorite!” Changmin cried indignantly. “I am the next porn star.”
Yoochun pinched Changmin’s cheek with his thumb and forefinger and cooed, “Minnie, you will always be my porn king… But Junsu… well, his ass beats yours.”
Changmin’s face scrunched up, tongue sticking out, as he downed his coffee, “Damn. So close.” Then Changmin sobered up slightly from his playful mood, throwing away the Styrofoam cup before placing a hand on Yoochun’s shoulder. “Good luck, Chunnie. But… just so you know,” the Changmin winked, “I’ll be more than happy to catch you on the rebound.”
Yoochun gagged and rolled his eyes, throwing away his own (now empty) cup, before waving goodbye to his best friend in the company. Now it was time to focus on his goal.
To win Junsu’s heart.
…
When their second anniversary rolled around, Yoochun had a date to go on. Just a friendly outing with Yoona, for reasons that he did not want to discuss with any one person in the company, and he felt comfortable around her (seeming as though they both agreed that what they had was a one time thing and would never happen again.)
And she had agreed to help him with his situation… once he came clean about being in love with Junsu.
He just felt horrible telling Junsu that it was an actual date… He felt like a jerk, a bastard… Something he preferred not to be when he was with or around Junsu.
He had started talking about where they were going to go, dropping hints to Junsu that he was the reason there was an outing. His coworker, sadly, was not paying him any attention, somewhat mad and thinking that Yoochun only wanted to have sex with Yoona. Yes, she was fun at the time and he had been getting physical with her before, but now he was in love. She was before Junsu. Now all he could think about was Dolphin-like squeaks and a cute smile with an amazing duck butt.
He left the room, slipping away to pick up Junsu’s gift, this time a shiny purple mug that he was rather fond of, another little word on the bottom (a piece of the whole) and a message tied to its handle, letting Junsu know that he had not forgotten.
Two months… It did not seem to be that long. Every moment spent with Junsu seemed to fly by now, and Yoochun feared that once he gathered the courage to tell Junsu what he wanted to say, it might be too late.
When he had told his date that night, she had just laughed, a pretty little tinkle that strangely enough he was not attracted to. He really was in love…
“Why don’t you just tell him now instead of playing these games?”
Yoochun bit his inner cheek, fumbling with his car keys, as he answered, uncharacteristically shy, “I… don’t know… how to say it.”
Yoona gave him a look filled with sympathy, patting his forearm, as she said, “You really are in love with Junsu.”
Yoochun tried to fight the smile and blush that wound their way up to his face, as he replied softly, “I am. I am head over heels in love with Junsu.”
“I am sure he is just as much in love with you as you are him~ Just keep trying. Good luck, Yoochun.”
…
On the third month, Yoochun was promoted. He was going to be moved away from Junsu. At first, he had argued, telling the managers that he was not qualified, but they would not change their minds.
Defeated, he started to pack away his things, brokenly gazing at the thin wall that separated him from his love. For once, he was actually sad about leaving someone behind… even if it was only to a section just on the other side of the lounge.
When he heard his office door click open and shut, he fought to stay calm. It pained him, he did not want to see Junsu like this… leave him alone in this otherwise empty department.
“You’re leaving?”
The words were almost inaudible and all Yoochun wanted to do was to hold his friend.
“Hmm? Yeah, they want to move me to another section. I’ll be with Yunho and Changmin now. It should be fun,” Yoochun stated, trying to remain calm, to not give in to the urge to just cradle Junsu.
“Oh? I see then.”
Yoochun bit his lip before looking up, cocking his head to the side, feeling the long black hairs tickle his cheeks, as he reached behind him for his third month anniversary gift.
“Happy anniversary, Su! Three months is a long time. Here, I bou--”
But Junsu cut him off, angrily, “I don’t want your stupid gift, Yoochun. I finally have peace of mind again.”
A part of Yoochun broke a little at those words, crushed by the raw hate and despair in his friend’s beautiful brown eyes that always were so full of life and love. He winced when his door was slammed shut, best friend walking out on him and rattling the walls that threatened to close in on him.
He traced the pattern of the rabbit on the newest mug to be added to Junsu’s collection, at the last word of the message on the bottom, and then slumped against a large brown box.
He missed his best friend and love already…
…
When the fourth month came, finally forgiven by his friend with things back to normal, he still waited patiently for Junsu to understand his cryptic message. He knew he was taking a risk by writing his three word message on the bottom of the mugs, but Yoochun (no matter how much of a playboy he was or acted like) he was still insecure. Part of him was afraid of the rejection that might come about, or the destruction of a carefully constructed friendship…
He could only hope that when Junsu found it… he felt as giddy inside as Yoochun did when Junsu was around him.
…
On their fifth month anniversary, Yoochun was finally answered by his love.
Barreling into his office, face flushed and all smiles, Junsu practically jumped him.
“Iloveyou,too!”
Yoochun blinked, confused, trying to understand the jumble of words that tumbled from those lovely full lips. “Come again?”
Junsu heaved one last long breath before leaning over Yoochun’s new desk. Slightly hesitant, Junsu looked down very quick before he whispered the words that Yoochun had been longing to hear for quite some time now.
“I love you, too.”
Yoochun’s gaze softened, finally letting the love shine through, as he pressed closer, pressing his lips against Junsu’s lightly, whispering, “Took you long enough,” then he promptly kissed his boyfriend.
Pulling away from him, face red again and a dark lustful glaze in his eyes, Junsu breathed, “I think… I am ready to take you up on that offer. You said you could make me scream?”
“Oh, Su, I can do more than that, much more.”
Hearing a nice squeak come from the younger male’s lips, Yoochun made his promise a reality. Sweet music filled the office, nice beats, and lovely crescendos of Yoochun’s name bouncing along the thin walls.
If it was ever recorded, it would be an instant hit…
…too bad the rest of the company did not feel the same…
