i worked all day today. maaaan, i hate waking up at 6am. bad times. about an hour of my day was spent on the phone with the craziest old lady ever. first, she called asking about shakespeare books. she wanted..probably about 12 of his plays, all in one volume. so i found a collection that had just about every one she was looking for. after ( Read more... )

Just wait until you get that one guy who says "well, the book is blue and it won some award and the guy wrote a bunch of other books with this one character who does this thing, and it was on the endcap over there, like, a month ago".

I ran a couple of Crown Books in Orange County before they went tits-up, and, man, are book people ever fucking off their collective rockers.

Well, then, just count your lucky stars that Oprah's Book club is now a thing of the past. If I ever see another Toni Morrison book, it'll be too soon.
