I'm glad you posted this since I'll be doing both books with my new Honors 10 section this year. Though I have my quibbles with it, but hey, what nerd wouldn't? hehe.

I'm glad it will be useful. It's been probably 10 years since I've read either of hese novels, but I enjoyed both of them. Orwell creeped me out more. Maybe that's the librarian in me screaming for the right to information, lol!

I'm a big Huxley fan because I found his ideas more novel---Orwell's was likely more original when it was written, but at this point his style of Dystopia seems too familiar. Also, Huxley had more sexy parts! Nothing beat chanting orgy-porgy in Ms.Avery's class and nothing beats the look on my students' faces when they read it now :-D

At the time, (9th grade, maybe?) it seemed less likely to be something that would happen, which is why Orwell creeped me out more.

I do agree that BNW is certainly more novel, and I hope you YouTube your students reading it outloud, rofl
