Dude. I finally caught Original Recipe tonight and YES. IT WAS AWESOME. I loved Jack being all proud of Connie at the end. AND THE BICKERING.

(Also, didn't Rene Balcer almost get hit by a truck during the WGA picketing? I figured that was going to get written in somewhere, I just didn't think it'd be, like, in service of a decent plot. I forget that this franchise can sometimes be really awesome.)

Get thee to a PIRATE SOURCE and watch the episode "Tango." It features: Connie getting perved on by a juror (kind of gross!), and Mike purposely putting him on the jury just to make their case easier to win. Cue: CONNIE BEING REALLY KINDA PISSED THAT HE DOES THIS. Also: complimenting of their respective legs.

They're really not shy about pushing the whole Mike Cutter: Yup Sorta An Asshole thing. IT'S GREAT

(He was! Oh, goodness, I hadn't forgotten about that. Note to self: never do anything to piss off a L&O writer, because it will end up on television.)

(Yeah, so that's been the secret of this entire season: HEY, remember when we used to write sort of decently? Let's try that again! I'd say about 75% of this season falls under the statement - the cases are tighter, simpler, less like someone cut out five different NY Post headlines, threw them into a hat, and then picked them out at random to decide the various "twists" of the crime. PLUS YOU HAVE MIKE AND CONNIE, WHO BICKER A LOT ALTHOUGH NEEEEEVER SO MUCH AS LAST NIGHT. WHICH IS ( ... )

Only seen a few episodes, but Mike Cutter is intriguing.

Oh, and because I needed to see it, I got a copy of the episode with Liz and the Logan revelation...and wasn't relationship mentioned? So it was more than one night???

He is! I really like that the show's not shy about painting him an sometimes acting like a complete asshole, getting his comeuppance for sometimes being a complete asshole, but also not redeeming him for it.

(WAS THE R-WORD USED? I couldn't remember! But omg! That's, like, 500% BETTER THAN A ONE-NIGHT STAND.)
