Dear Law & Order,

OH.
MY.
GOD.

WOW, MIKE CUTTER. WOW. Which is not to say-- just. Wow. Up until that last bit, the part where you two complimented each other's legs and then you got reeeeaaaaaaaaaally awkward about it, was, um, pretty sexy.

(By the way, are eolivet and anxietygrrl edit: AND ALSO featherweight, APPARENTLY the only two other people watching this? I FEEL LIKE ( Read more... )

I KNOW! I caught an episode maybe at the end of January, and now I make sure I'm home on Wednesdays so I can watch it. It's so weird! I thought L&O was pretty much dead, and now it's GOOD AGAIN!

There's such GOOD CHEMISTRY between the Law and the Order parts. And the writing! Actually decent again! I adore having my show back.

THAT'S TOO BAD.

i just find the order side of it incredibly boring. if it was all law, aka the jack mccoy show, i would be all over it.

BUT BUT. What I'm saying is, everything about this show is good again. Mike Cutter is like old school Season 5 Jack McCoy, and Detective Ed finally has a best friend in his partner.

That was basically like, "Remember when Jack and Claire had dinner a lot of times? And then that junkie called Claire skinny, and then later Jack was all, 'Don't worry, you look fine to me'? IMAGINE IF WE BASICALLY JUST RAN WITH THAT SEXUAL HARRASSMENT AND MADE IT BLATANT."

So what this episode told me was, before Connie had any idea that there was a creepy guy on their jury, she was okay with her boss flirting with her. OH SHOW

Olivia and Bobby Goren wander onto the scene and exclaim, "OH NO, WHAT IS THIS. WE CANNOT HAVE THIS"

It's sad, but I was kind of looking forward to this since Monday. OH GOD

See, I don't watch L&O till the weekend, so by the time I have seen the awesomeness, it's old news. :/

But I'm very excited for this ep now!!! :)

(Also, I like L&O enough for at least two people. So, it can be four other people who are watching it ;)

UH SO THIS EPISODE IS AMAZING. It was amazing at like ten minutes in when Ed calls his partner "Loops" on a regular basis. AND THEN THE ORDER PART, OH MY GOODNESS. When you see it, come back and we can debate whether or not Cutter is a total jerk (answer: probably definitely).

(Yikes! So perhaps I should get back into that whole "USE A DAMN SPOILER CUT" practice, then? I've been horrible at it lately.)

No, don't spoiler-cut -- I've never been spoiled about anything through your posts! :) It's actually a good thing, a "Yay, this is what I have to look forward to!!"

Your posts make me want to go home and watch L&O RIGHT NOW. :D That's a very good thing. :)

(Sigh...Anthony Anderson is just not going to be the same. :( )

"I agree on all counts." Or something. eolivet March 1 2008, 12:42:26 UTC
Eeeee! Just saw the ep, and that scene with the e-mail, I was like "....Did they just actually go there?" What pings my Jack/Claire radar the most was the fact that they got awkward about it, but also that didn't, like, stop them from saying it (as if they'd been maybe spending some nights together after work, but never saying anything and this was the first time they'd ever said something. Or something)

I actually come down on Cutter's side of this (!!), because if the juror was checking out Connie, that would've been in full view of the defense, as well -- and they could've challenged him (of course, the defense wouldn't have been looking for it, but...the guy was pretty obvious. I think I watch too much "Boston Legal" -- it's totally something they would've done. :p )

(Also, if L&O wasn't a procedural, you know the juror would've like, kidnapped her or something, and Cutter would spend the next few eps all emo about it ( ... )
