In my last class today, there was a girl wearing a black fedora. Yes, that's right, a fedora; also a denim mini skirt and black converses and edgy black nail polish. I think it's the way some people express themselves. Like, instead of Snarry or Kara/Lee or McShep, you do ... fedoras? Maybe?

I don't particularly get "fashion," either.

Not that there's any excuse for the fedora, but women may perfectly politely keep their hats on indoors. It's the menfolk who have to take theirs off.

it's perfectly acceptable to wear hats indoors for women. i mean, until the 60s, you weren't even allowed in most places without hats (and gloves) - especially church. pictures of girls at barnard have them sitting in class with hats.

i, personally, love hats. i have often worn them on the rutgers campus as well, though i admit, new yorkers like hats a lot more than you people in jersey.

Oh, don't get me wrong -- I've been known to wear baseball caps around when my hair is, uh, how shall we say? not so good. But it was just... a fedora! Kind of random!

I'm sure they do! Sadly, this girl was not one of them.
