I TURNED IN MY REMIX! AND IT'S NOT EVEN MONDAY YET! I know, right, what in the hell is wrong with me?

But anyway. Enough of that. I rewatched the last three episodes of Battlestar Galactica. And... yeah! Anyway.

ACK! I love your idea! It is... omg SHINY in my head! And that makes a lot of sense. You know, I have the terrible desire to write the scene where Mom and Dad finally acknowledge her cancer and juxtapose it with a few scenes after she's healing - but BEFORE BILLY - to see how jarring it kind of is in context. I mean, she was preparing to die for like six plus months and now she's suddenly all better? And her coping with Adama. Hmm. *makes notes*

ARG, WHY SEVEN MONTHS?

OMG, THEY MUSTE REUNITE AND HE MUST TOUCH HER FACE LIKE HE DID BEFORE and I'm too worked up for 12:30 at night. Just sayin'.

SEE, I could totally buy that post-Billy (I KNOW, I KNOW) and even post-LDYB, and maybe even as the reason why she doesn't initially go to New Caprica. Because going there means she goes back to being just a person and she's not the president and they're not in space on Colonial One - and, just, basically she'd have to deal with her cancer. But if she stays in space, if she stays on Galactica with Dad, then maybe she can pretend for a little bit more that HEY DON'T REMIND US THAT YOU USED TO BE DYING AND STUFF. Except even that doesn't work.

ARG. I love Mom and Dad. I love them as a dynamic almost more than as anything romantic. Mostly because THEY SO got stuck in this situation where they had to forgive each other and forge a friendship so that, like, the human race could continue and keep working.

And he'd totally tell her something like "How does it feel now that you aren't going to die of cancer?" And her being all "Scary. Very, very scary. Uncertain death is a lot harder of a concept to cope with."
"Do you regret it then?"
"No. No, not at all. I'm alive, how can I?"
"But it's harder."
"Yeah."
"...wanna borrow my book again?"
"You are such an ass."

DUDE. I just thought of this last night, as I was brushing my teeth: DAD WOULD SO OBVIOUSLY NEED A DATE FOR KARA'S WEDDING.

Have you also heard the rumors that NBC has their eye on this show since it's ratings "don't belong" on SciFi? My manflesh read it on one of his geek sites, so it could mean anything or nothing, but... I don't know if I like the idea. I love my big show in it's little pond.

At the moment, I have high hopes for s3. I've been going back and forth on it, but right now. In the now. I really think it could work out in a good way. As long as they read this post and say, "She's got it right."

oh. my. lord. the scene before the debate KILLED ME. my GOD DO I LOVE THEM. they were giggling together! it was the sweetest thing in the world!

though this occupation thing and adama being gone totally mindfucks me and i don't know how to write the story i was planning on writing! setting it during that year, i suppose. MAN. canon creates such complications!

and yeah, i so totally thought of alias too. i'm really hoping that it doesn't suck so much. though i kind of liked season 3. but i watched it all the way through on dvd so it was sort of a different experience i think. kind of like how i didn't think this part of the season of bsg didn't suck so bad - because i immediately got to redeem things such as "the black market" with another episode pronto.

DUDE, SAMUEL T. ANDERS IS GOING TO DIE. and it's going to be angsty and GREAT and i cannot wait because then lee and kara can finally resolve whatever crap happened at the funeral and yeah, it will rock. (die,anders,die!)
