Maybe Dr. House can make a joke about Rome?

1. I don't know if I mentioned how much in love I am with Rome. It's fantastic! And that's partially because it's set much earlier than I was expecting, which makes it more like the prequel to I, Claudius instead of something trying to do outdo I, Claudius (which, frankly, will never happen -- CALIGULA OMG. SOME IMAGES WILL NEVER LEAVE MY BRAIN). ( Read more... )

geeeeeeek

I am madly excited for Rome. I absolutely cannot wait!

4. Okay, one comment: Cameron/Chase is not that insane and weird, guys. No, really. It's not.
I agree. I also think an angst triangle with that pairing would work so very well (in that Cameron would choose Chase because she could never have House; Chase would have Cameron because hewantsher).

And that whole plot about her controlling him when she asks about sex in, what, episode 3? gets totally put into a different context when you figure out he used to date a DOMINATRIX. Chase = kinky.

"Rome" still hasn't premiered in Brazil, but I am mad excited about it - mostly because it's about Rome, period. I didn't even know when it was set (I mean, they could chose... *counts fingers* about 7 centuries to make a series about Rome, so I had no idea), but I'm glad it doesn't seem to be based on "I, Claudius". Especially because my knowledge of "I, Claudius" is the actual book (fortunately, apparently), but I could probably throw something against the TV if Livia showed up in that story. And throwing things against the TV is bad.

Also? House/Laurie pwns me. And to actually make me write such a silly thing like "pwnage"? Means a lot! :)

LIVIA. Oh, man. What a trip. Given the pace of the HBO series, I doubt we'll be seeing Livia. (The BBC mini of "I, Claudius" is absolutely fantastic and if you enjoyed Graves' book then I wholeheartedly recommend it. Sure, it was made in the 70s and thus slightly cheesy, but SERIOUSLY. The Caligula parts are so incredibly disturbing, but in that fantastic TV sort of way. Plus, it's on DVD!)

I don't know if it's better, since I'm this sort of weird in-between phase about House/Cameron. I don't hate it, but I don't love it, but it's canon and I (usually) love canon relationships, but it weirds me out, but it totally doesn't-- AUGH. Cameron/Chase is just plain, ordinary, "we really don't like each other that much but let's get drunk and have a one-night side because we're both in love with House." Actually, wait, that sounds like it could be a Cameron/Chase/Foreman plot, too...

I'm mostly about the canon, but it surprises me that even I like House/Cameron, as cheesy, weird as it is. I think the whole "she likes lame" thing from 1x20 was SO fitting, and that's why I heart these two. It's a damaged kind of love. DAMAGeD.

Cameron/Chase is... not House/Cameron.

Correct!
