WaT ficathon?

Jun 23, 2005 15:04

So.

eolivet mentioned something about Without a Trace not having its own ficathon, and to my immediate knowledge, I think she's right. And, really, our fandom is small but not tiny, and we've got enough crazy ones out there that I think we've qualified to advance to the next level and hold our very own ficathon.

So now I'm trying to gauge potential interest in said ficathon. )

atlantis, without a trace

I'll start a side tally.

I have half an idea to do a "hot burrito" fic - as I'm sorting who writes for whom, someone has to write the Martin/Burrito fic instead. And no one will know who it is until the very end!

The sad part is I'm sort of serious.

(You know I cannot resist that icon -- LOVE it :D )

That? Would be AWESOME. And it would be a way to entice people to sign up, too. "You could write the Martin/burrito fic!!" I think that's a great selling point. ;)

M/B is shaping up to be WaT's newest OTP.

This might seem like a stupid thing to ask, but what exactly is a ficathon? Is it just a bunch of people writing a bunch of fic and posting it at once place on a certain date? Or is there more to it (or less)?

Yeah, basically, everyone fills out an application where they say what they'd be willing to write and what they'd like to have written for them. Then I assign entries to everyone, you write what your person wants, and everything's posted on the date its due. Think of it like a Secret Santa of fic.
