friday night tv with a saturday afternoon hangover

I changed my layout. I think I hate it. Change sucks. (I do adore my new televised revolution statement.)

Went to a Springsteen concert last night, in total Jersey fashion. Awesome. It rained, and he played "Jailhouse Rock" via the random sign request, then closed with "Rosalita." My life, she is now complete.

spying spies and the admin staff who love them <-- LOL.

After like TEN YEARS since the last time we saw Anita's husband, they're suddenly divorced for five years, and he cheated while they were married, which gave her THE STD THAT CAUSES CERVICAL CANCER? God damn, show.

OKAY GOOD, I thought I'd missed a lot of stuff happening there, but no, everyone did! She's not leaving, is she? *worries*

I was really sad they cut away from Lupo and Van Buren right after she finds out about his *indiscretion*, because that must've been one of the great reamings-out of all time.

Nope! Didn't miss a thing. Bless you, L&O, for being this way!

I don't THINK she's leaving? I think they're doing what they did in Season 8, way back in the day - giving her a story line with the potential of an exit, so if she decides not to stay it's easy to write her out, but at the same time they're not forced to? (OH SEASON 8. YOU WERE SO GREAT. It was the first time in the history of the show where the cast didn't turn over between seasons, so they panicked and... gave every character a recurring plot line! Hooray! The back half of that season features the most character inner life ever seen on Law & Order, hands down.)

(AND IT INEVITABLY ALL STEMS FROM 6x23, THE ONLY L&O EPISODE IN THE HISTORY OF THE FRANCHISE TO TRULY BREAK FORMULA.) ... *steps away from the crazy soap box*

I could make you charts, if you'd like.

(I imagine Van Buren's argument consisted of multiple variations of ARE YOU EVEN FUCKING KIDDING ME.)

Some days I think I could use some charts. Or a wiki. OH MAN THERE SHOULD TOTALLY BE A WIKI.

Hey, you know who'd be a good replacement if Van Buren did leave? ALEX EAMES. No, seriously, that would be so great.

I COULD PROBABLY TYPE OUT AN ENTIRE RENDERING OF SEASONS 5 - 8 WITHOUT HESITATING, IF YOU LIKE. It would astound you how much shit happens on a show like this. Like - YEAH. It's also hilarious how, after Season 8, characterization as a whole sort of stops.

YES. I COULD BUY THIS CHANGE. Not only because I don't want Eames to ever leave, ever.

SGU: YES. To everything. That plot was 100% lifted from the Atlantis pilot, and made 100% better.

And I will continue to call it Stargate BSG, but that isn't so much an insult as it is A BLATANT FACT. That show did not look like Stargate. It looked like BSG. And I 100% approve of that fact.

BONES BLOOPERS!!!!!!
