Mike is one of L&O's best characters, ever - after Lenny and Logan. He looks noble and fair, but he's so effing ambitious, sly, and willing to do anything to get ahead. His glance at Jack's chair says. it. all.

He really is. He reminds me SO MUCH of pre-Claire-angst!Jack. Except whereas Claire was always a step behind him apprehensively (EVEN THOUGH SHE SECRETLY LOVED IT), Connie is more or less along for the entire ride.

(Like, I really think he Googled something to say to the psychotic serial killer in Russian, and Connie caught him then immediately figured out what he was planning to do, and was all OH YOU ARE JOKING ME WITH THIS. And he just shrugs casually.)
