I utterly and completely ADORE my job

... a sentence I never thought I would ever type, say or better yet think of. Yes, after three fail starts in the world of employed people I find myself in the flirt stage with my work. I work at a retail store. Sometimes it makes me smile, and sometimes I just want to take a sledgehammer to something. But I'm content with it most days. And at least I'm making money. :)

Retail store. :) I have always wondered what it would be to work at a store, but I wouldn't try it in my country. More lucrative to beg on the streets.

I am only lucky as far as my experience in tourism is concerned. My current job doesn't suck as much as other previous jobs, so it's just the best summer job ever.

However as you say, when I get down to a WIP it's the best. :)

Sounds like things are settling down pretty well!

My job does both. I love the writing, love the talking to both established and up-and-coming researchers, but hate the commute and the office politics.

Actually it's only the tempo at my job and the responsibilities that I have there are the only ones that seem to fit in place. However outside my job my life is lying in ruins of chaos, WW2 style with university acquiring a buldozer with spikes and missile launcher... I was just about to explain in a new post.
