I have a load of bookmarks that builds up over time--fics I've read and enjoyed, found intriguing, so forth. So here are some meme fics, FFN fics, and most importantly, YULETIDE fics! 8DDD I promised a Yuletide rec post a while ago, after all.

As a Greek mythology freak, I strongly object to this summary Dionysus, god of death and rebirth, meets Persephone in many ways. >.> Last time I checked he was the god of wine, theatre, grapes, ritual madness and ecstasy _^_ It sure is nice that the author went for that rare version of the myth where he actually is Persephone's son, but calling him the god of death and reincarnation is like... meh >.>;

I thought that description wasn't right, either, but after reading the fic I can see why he was described as such--not literally the god of death and rebirth, but in the sense that his story is bound up with the idea of death and rebirth. The author probably could have worded it better though.

lol, ritual madness. Dionysus has some crazy goings-on in Greek myth. Granted, it can't be considered that crazy in comparison to other Greek myths...

at the same time, I understand where he's coming from--it's really hard for some people to know when to stop before their creation becomes hackneyed and feels like it's dragging on rather than anything--but this does not stop me from wishing there WAS more! :)

I've been kind of avoiding Eljay lately, but love, love this post. Yuletide is a great place for rare fandoms (hello Berserk and Monster XD) and I really enjoyed the Runge fic you recc'd. I'll be sure to give the others a go too XD.
