Poor Ikkaku! What a beautifully written piece. My favorite part was when he mentioned how Yumi was laughing and how he'd forgotten how much he loved fighting. You took the kind of ficthat could have been a cliche and made it feel very genuine, heartbreaking, and true to character. <3

*beams* Thank you sooo much. This had been in my head for quite a long time. It was, at first, Yumi thinking about Ikkaku dying, but then the line from the song 'but now my heart has lost direction' really struck me as Ikkaku. I thought about it forever... about how that would feel for him... about the things that he would think. I chose a couple things I wanted to dwell on, since I didn't want this to go on for ten pages. 0.o

I'm so glad you think it was well written. That means so much to me, especially because I admire your writing so much. *beams*

Thank you! I'm very glad you liked it. I was kind of scared to post something with a character death in it... am very glad that people seemed to have enjoyed it.

This was amazing. I normally stay clear of character death fics because the character reactions can sometimes be really appallingly. But this was heartbreakingly well done - the line that got me most has to be 'Forever would not have been long enough' really, really good fic.

Thank you soooo much! I stay clear of death fics, too... because I'm very attached to the characters and don't want to see them die. I tried to ignore the idea for this when I got it... because I really didn't want to write it. But... a couple weeks later I decided that it just had to be written.

This piece was very hard for me to write... because I love Yumichika, probably more than any other Bleach character.
