X-files is one of the first things that come to my mind when I think "childhood"

That makes me feel soooo old. ;)

X-Files are much better in the dark. Particularly with the two of them sitting alone together. It's my first love.

Thanks for reading, my dear.

Mulder is so perfectly in character in this. You really capture his voice well.

Thanks so very much! Mulder was the first voice I felt confident writing. I still love him after all these years.

My first OTP too. Probably my most consuming, since I developed it during that stage of life where you can let things like that totally consume you.

I still love them with a white hot passion. UST at its best.

I thought it was the only fandom. :)

Oh yes. Still very much kicking. I dropped out of a BB last summer for XF, but they have good participation in that and also a pr0n battle that I always check in on. Some active book clubs for fic and comms too.

This is such a great idea for a drabble -- flagging patriotism, to be solved (or not) by fireworks on TV. No wonder it doesn't do it for Mulder. ;)

And I like the way the details let the reader fill in more of the story, as with the argument in the car.

I'm glad you like the open ended quality of this. It could go either way with being too vague.
