For when he confessed to her in an unguarded moment that he prayed for home, he looked into her eyes and saw the violet winter twilights of his northern island, and his restless heart, which had been so keen to help the gods answer his petition that he would resort even to treachery, stilled.

Oh my goodness. So beautiful! Every word of that is so lovely, my dear.

Aw, I'm so pleased you think so--that sentence took me longer than the whole rest of the drabble. Ridiculously, because I couldn't decide whether to split it into two sentences or leave it as one!

That scene is so lovely between them in both the book and the show. It's so raw and says so much about who they both are, at heart. I hope they remember that!

I'm so curious how they're going to play out these scenes between them on the show. Given the natural chemistry between the actors, are they going to play up the attraction vibes? It seems as if they will. In which case, will fans froth when she reacts to his betrayal?

Even Mr. Tater was all, "Whoa, are they going to hook up now?" when Dany kissed Jorah before walking into the fire. Their chemistry is absolutely ridiculous. I think I'm going to need a serious cold shower when they do that kiss in book 3... (Frankly, I can't imagine them holding out another full season for that scene...can you even imagine the UST until then?!)

he knows without a doubt it was not merely his pragmatism that prompted him to arrest her would-be assassin, but the realization that the grief that would come to him at the sweet princess' death was much too great a price to pay for a pardon.

I agree!

He truly does love her.

Sigh. He's not a straightforward character! I love how he's intensely practical, but always motivated by love to do crazy stuff.

Thanks for reading!
