We are beginning to see the end on the horizon. Last night was the Critics Choice Awards, the BAFTAs, the Spirit Awards and the SAG Awards are nigh, and we know have the nominations for the 92nd Academy Awards. Once again, this year will be a host-less event

"Shawshank Redemption" is a movie that everyone will admit is icon -- no wins, no noms, even,

And no comment on the "Brokeback Mountain" screw up. Does anyone today think "Crash" is even
good, let alone Best Picture?
"Birdman"? Seriously? I could go on.
But it is crazy that those amazing costumes in "Rocketman" didn't get nominated. WTF?
And as nutty as it is, "The Lighthouse"? I guess it's too out there.
And hiss about Greta. And Akwafina.
And I detest "Joker." I. Detest. It!
I'm rooting for "Kitbull." Sad when the category you are most invested in is Animated Short Film!

Ethan Hawke was nominated for nearly 60 various guilds and film critics awards, winning many for "First Reformed" but he didn't land a nomination. There is no rhyme or reason.

Noms, no wins. An iconic movie with incredible performances that leaves an indelible mark on audiences, no wins. Even Morgan Freeman said he didn't deserve to win for "Million Dollar Baby" and he thought the Academy gave it to him as a do-over. The unspoken being he should've won for "Shawshank".

People still talk about and reference "Brokeback Mountain",and people only bring up "Crash" to say how awful it is LOL!
