I've been a little uncertain about watching Harriet after I read there were fictional elements added? I read Tubman's biography (written while she was still alive) a few years ago and if there's anyone who doesn't need her life story "polished", it's her. One bit that stuck out was how she would orchestrate her rescues on Saturdays, because of there being no newspapers the next day - more of a head start! And how authorities staked out the places where her family were enslaved, figuring she would rescue them first, but instead she waited until Christmas one year. Master strategist, the Robin Hood of the USA and deserves many more films and series devoted to her.
Intrigued by "Dolemite" - will give it a look tonight!
