What is that horror on my baby James Wolk's head?

When the credits rolled someone near me told their friend, “I wonder how I would act in this situation” and to me it’s curious that people must ask that question. I know you’re never supposed to say never, but I’m not afraid to say I would never degrade anyone if I had authoritative power.
Malleable people are frightening because, while they would not necessarily initiate cruelty on their own, they can be so quick to fall in line with it. You see it in Kids "But he started it" as though that's enough to abdicate having any will of your own.

Where are the female actors who will be given that opportunity? Female actors don’t have that same chance because they’re always hired as the object of affection and nothing more.Did you see the amazing "12 Angry Men" sketch by Amy Schumer, in which 12 quirky character actors like John Hawkes, Vincent Kartheiser et al debate whether Amy is hot enough to be on TV? It hits that same point: why aren't there any female Steve Buscemis ( ... )

The downside in an excellent indie film: no budget for good wigs. It's like they took the Beastie Boys wigs from the "Sabotage" video.

To leave something to a whim of situational aspects instead of being resolute in not being a shite person is so odd and whishy washy.

It hits that same point: why aren't there any female Steve Buscemis? I saw that and it was genius. Young actresses at least had a change to shine on kids shows like on Nickelodeon or Disney but rarely has that translated into a full fledged career as an actress. Amanda Bynes almost ( ... )

I finally watched Wild and really enjoyed it. I am not a big fan of Reese Witherspoon, but the movie and her character and her performance were really good. I am now recommending it to one and all.

I loved "Wild", incredible film and fully rounded.

And where is Katherine Bigelow these days? I haven't heard of her since Zero Dark Thirty. And Ava DuVernay was going to direct Black Panther and now isn't. Hmmmm.

Every week studios are hiring male directors w/ very little work under their belt to direct their huge tentpole films (the director of "Jurassic World" had only directed a low-budget indie before JW) Bigelow, DuVernay, Patty Jenkins, Penelope Spheeris should be given more directing gigs.

Wasn't Reynolds in some movie with Jason Bateman where they switched bodies? He didn't do anything in that one either.

Yep. Never modulated his performance to impersonate Bateman in that too.

I like Bateman, but he is in some crappy movies, he does better with TV work.Bateman, is like Brendan Fraser. When Brendan Fraser did "School Ties" ( ... )

And why are the "Internet Commentators" put in the second position on that poster? INTERNET COMMENTATORS are the Holy Bible these days. And I am not prejudiced in that view AT All.

We’re the new Dorothy Parker and the Vicious Circle Table is what we are.

As for Edgar Wright, UTube guy, Tony Chou I think his name is, has a great video about what makes him such a good comedy director:

Looking at that video really makes me feel the loss of what could've been with "Ant-Man". And it shows how reliant film makers are to the old ways of directing. Too bad current filmmakers have not studied Wright to try to take a more artistic and innovative style of directing.

Good topic for a discussion ( ... )
