Re. historical liberties with Selma: Oh please at the people miffed at LBJ being "besmirched." Not a single US critic blinked an eye at Ben Affleck changing the ethnicity of his character and hijacking Canadian history to make an "America, fuck yeah!" story. So nitpicking Selma seems hypocritical.
Yay for you adding another Smallville boy to your collection!
You're going to love Flash tonight! Wenty slays one line in particular.

Oh, yeah. People acted shocked, shocked! that Canada would took offense at "Argo" rewriting history, and the trades and critics didn't attack the film. But with "Selma" all of a sudden the fact checkers are out en masse.
Yay for you adding another Smallville boy to your collection!
I need Hartley and Huffman to complete my SV JLA sightings. Sadly, it's not complete without Lee Thompson Young, but I'm closing in.

He's so damn good. I admit being stoked by the Prison Break reunion but I'm fine with never seeing Heatwave again. Went makes me want Captain Cold to be The Flash's main opponent.

Dom Purcell was always the weak link of PB for me - did nothing for me. So I rather enjoyed him gamely chewing the scenery last night - but not as much as Went's silken purr. I love that Went is an intellectual who completely embraces camp. I think he gets that Adam Rothcild Ryan > Very Serious Oscar Bait "The Human Stain."

I haven't seen Selma yet, but I will because of Miss DuVernay. A Woman Director looking at a big moment in the Civil Rights movement and interpreting it through HER eyes and senses. That is so rarely done in any History, much less American History

Mr. Perinneau was very good as Mercutio in Romeo and Juliet. He was like a big spider who was attacked by humans on the wall and limps off on his remaining five legs to his web. Help me! I don't know what I am doing with this!....OK, I am over my The Fly moment.
Leo DiCaprio's Romeo and Juliet was an interesting attempt by Baz Luhrmann. If Juliet had been cast as a Vapid blonde Model with frightened or dead Deer eyes (instead of Clare Dane), it would have been a really good interpretation of the classic. And Whatshisface from Witness could have been Tybolt or one of Leo/Romeo's film (in addition to his real life) posse. Yep, there were missed opportunities there, but not a bad film. I mean, Miriam Margolyes was the Nurse! And she was perfect

Oh by the way, have you heard about Tom Hardy and his joining of the Leo DiCaprio posse on their new film? Seems that Mr. Hardy is gambling way too hard and he is enamored of a casino dealer. DiCaprio is a Bad Influence on Him. Unlike Mercutio, I hope that Mr. Hardy gets out from under the Influence Alive.I read that Blind Item and it definitely fits that relationship to a T. Before it was revealed that Tom dropped out of Suicide Squad because of the script and little screen time, the reason given was that "The Revenant" shoot ran over and I thought, "If Tom and his Team Rev buddies stopped taking pictures all over the place the shoot would be on time". And Leo is apparently knows how to disappear when he wants because there's always beach and yacht photos of him partying but with "The Revenant" shoot it's always been Hardy, Haas, Will Poulter, Paul Anderson and Jacob Tomuri running around together

Never! It was so long ago I didn't want him thinking, "Dang, no love for my work on "Lost"?. I should've brought up "Romeo and Juliet"
Though I've never seen it.
