Movie Talk, Fandom Lurker..

Jul 01, 2011 03:51

~Happy Belated Birthday to two fabulous ladies chrisluvstommy and prim_rose_etta! I hope your birthdays were glorious.

~I don’t read a lot of fanfic anymore. I was devouring Eames/Arthur “Inception” fic for awhile and now I’m slowing down on it. I wasn’t really looking for a new fandom but somehow, DC gal that I am has begun reading “X-Men: First Class” Erik/Xavier fic.

Erik loves cupcakes...and Charles.

Yeah, I want a Piece of That. And put a little scoop of Mr. Mackie on the side, please.
Anthony will the my main dish. I will be good and not eat my dessert before hand if it means getting to Anthony.

How pathetic was that? The only publicity that they could scare up for the film was to Bash Miss Fox who wasn't in the film. They couldn't go with Fake Moon Landings or an astronaut, Mr. Aldrin, who actually did land on the Moon? Or did he?

It's all a cover-up!

I can't believe the media let themselves be fooled by that sleight of hand. No one was the better journo and didn't give their tales ink and made him question his previous film or his reputation.

It reminded me of the Alien movies and had those movies' suspense in it.
It starts out that way and then it devolves into his usual smash'em up, fast, fast, fast methodology of filmmaking.

But what the hell kind of misogyny and Piggishness was this? I despise Mr. Bey, Mr. LaBoob, and Mr. Speilberg for pulling this kind of stunt. I hope that ( ... )

He'd have you believe that they are just lining up to give him back Head.

I have to find the groupie story about Shia. Apparently he's a giving lover, but a bit of a loser. Which lines up with the idea that geek losers are good at sex because that's all they think about because they're not getting any (thank you "Revenge of the Nerds" for that insight).

Bridesmaids was a FUN Rom Com movie.

When ROM of the COM started kicking in I felt betrayed, but it worked really well. It didn't offend me like standards ROM COMs.

When was the last time that you saw a FUN Rom Com? Yeah, I'm thinking too and drawing a blank. Maybe House Bunny?

I've never seen "House Bunny" so I have to go with never before this one. It was a pleasant surprise. Kudos to Kristin for showing how it can be done. There is something to be said about generational differences and I like her modern voice compared to Nora Ephron and Nancy Meyers.

And good point about all the extraneous men in that movie. They could have been Cuter and Nekkidder. Hamm just needed to be ( ... )

It's really good. Believe me I dragged my feet on seeing it. A group of people at work were even organizing a girls night out to see it and I was not looking forward to seeing a chick flick and it's not that at all. It's excellent.

I do think it wasn't wise of her to say those things in public),

Not at all and when you do things like that there are repercussions. But it's not too dissimiliar to what Shia has said in the past himself about directors he worked with.

I do think that it comes off as really petty for Michael Bay to keep trying to justify firing her.

To bring it up now when it's all over and done with was so petty.

So, Shia's talking about hooking up with actresses and saying nonsense about co-stars and trashing his movies? I'm kinda wondering about the lifespan of his career. For some reason he fails upwards. Unlike Alex Pettyfer who was pretty dickish and his career is stalling. In all the adverts for the DVD of "I Am Number Four" they talk about Number 6. I was like "Damn, they really hate you when they ignore the character who is the title of the film." The difference is always what one brings to the table. Shia is a big mouth who lacks tact but he puts butts in the seat. As long as he keeps doing that he'll work and they'll put up with his ( ... )

I enjoyed your post, very much. I'm sad that The Green Lantern is a dud, because I love Ryan Reynolds body very much. Alas, I'll wait for that turkey to wobble it's way to the little screen.

I'm bitter about Captain America. I thought my friend, Jansen Eckles was going to be in that movie. He would have made a good Cap. He has the Aryan features for it, and projects a good snotty attitude because I can't buy Cap as the 100% good guy, never did. They're just hating on my boy because his figure has matured. *nods*

That you lady!

I'm going to do you a solid. This was the best part of the film. Ryan's being examined by the Corps cos they're aliens and while they don't probe him onscreen they do strip him down in the tiny briefs that reminded me of seamless panties and that was all kinds of hot.

Danneel and Jared don't mind his love handles.
They really don't--those handles come in handy when Jared needs some serious traction. High thread count sheets tend to be a little slidey.

roxy, too lazy to uncloak ;)

Don’t judge me. Never!

LOL! And she spent the entire film throwing herself at people who really weren't open to her attempts.Poor gal. When she turns into Rebecca Romjin Stamos O'Connell all that will change.

That watercolor looking one looks like Dean and Castiel sorta. And the one about not being able to walk is too funny ::runs off to find fic like that ::

but wax Tyra has more emotion in her glass eyes than Huntington-Whitely. Her eyes look more like wax Bieber.

Bay got what he wanted. He wanted someone who could just look good and that's it. Her character just stood there wearing white, arching her back and posing.

Not a good look for Tom, I like him a bit leaner.

Me too. I can't wait for The Dark Knight Rises to finish film so he can lose some of that muscle. He's too short to pull off that look. Now, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson on the other hand--the bigger the better.

Thanks for the balm. If I ever meet Tom Hardy again I will be using that on him to rub him down.

That's a really nice trailer, makes me want to see MI:4 ( ... )
