Eagle Eye...

Solid film. It wavers a bit for a very specific reason (which I won't say because it's a big part of the film), but that doesn't detract from the overall film.

Eagle Eye: No Spoilers )

I have not seen a candidate so vapid since Dan Quale, Seriously if McCain wins, we're all pretty much doomed.

I'm thinking of seeing Eagle Eye, but I think another 90s mins of Shia being stressed may not be my thing, but I do love the Shia:) I'l forgive him for the Transformers even (I'm sure I'm the only one who didn't like it, I even kicked my neighbor when it ended for making me sit through it, lol)

Forget dumber and dumber; more like fumble and fumblier. I understand strategy and strategically she was a strategically pick, but McCain (and moreso Karl Rove) could've chosen a female pick who was actually competent and wouldn't risk getting pwned in every single interview.

LOL! Then you won't be seeing this or any other Shia film because that's Shia all over. Depp always plays quirky character, Clooney: aloof and/or suave and Shia desperate.

You didn't like Transformers?? Does.Not.Compute. It's robot aliens that turn into stuff! What's not to love?

Seriously after about 40 mins of the battle scene i kept looking up going "ARE THEY STILL FREAKING FIGHTING???" and I was just done. Of course I know nothing of the transformers though everyone assured me it didn't matter, but I think it did matter. Its cool, if I had known it was a Michael Bay movie, I never ever would have watched it.

My favorite bit was "My state is right by TWO foreign countries so that means I have lots of foreign relations experience!" while Katie kept looking at her with a "No, really." look on her face.

It's the best interview I've seen in a long time. You can tell Katie wanted to smack her. It's embarassing.

I thought people with passports were people who had in interest in seeing the world. I didn't know that I was part of the ELITE because I now hold a passport . I thought I got it because I wanted to see the world. I live in Detroit, and as you know, The Ambassador Bridge & The Detroit~Windsor tunnel takes you over to Canada.

This woman is quite DUMB. And Vapid is not the word...well it is...but there has got to be one that is more extreme to describe her. If McCain Palin gets in office...this country will get what it deserves.

But tell me...What is the difference between
THIS

And
THIS

Brilliant!

LOL!

I so thought some of her answers in the interviews were like a beauty queen's....

I posted this link in my lj yesterday:

She just digs herself in deeper with almost everything she says...

I love how it sounds as if she's trying to remember her note cards. She's practiced for this interview, you can tell. And I don't mean the usual prep, but the "do not go off script whatever you do" practice.

That's just what I thought about her speech at the convention and then for the interviews she'd done...

It's like she practiced in front of the mirror.

I used to be an actor and I know what someone looks like when they practice in front of a mirror. Actualy Cindy McCain seriously creeped me out at the convention with how she delivered that dead boring speech...

She was so practiced and deliberate with everything she said...

Sarah Palin is coming off the same way and she was seriously thrown by anything that wasn't an anticipated question....

Palin scares me.

I hope people see her for what she is and vote for Obama, if only to make sure she becomes a footnote in history that she deserves to be.

Palin scares me.

What scares me about her is that there are so many people who are taken in by her personality and view her "values" as these good American values---whatever that's supposed to mean. She's like Republicanbot 2.0.

I really hope she completely blows the VP debate, but I can't see someone like her even coming close to matching wits with Biden so I shouldn't be too worried.

Unless somehow she squirrels her way out of participating in the VP debate altogether...

I'm saying their debate won't happen. I can't see that letting it happen.

Oh, good grief. I should be VP because I've been to Mexico, Japan, China and parts of Europe.

You are way more qualified than she is!

I'm tired of the word "elite."

It’s the new buzz word like “American Values” was. It’s being used to separate people.

Heck, most people WANT their kids to go to an "elite" school. Is there really something great about trying NOT to be elite? I'm tired of the whole wallowing in mediocrity.

And wasn’t that always the basis of the American Dream? To achieve more? To do better and have better than your parents? Since when did achievement become a bad thing. Even if I may not travel the world the way I want too, at least I know there is a world out there that deserves to be seen; that should be seen. And that I, nor America, is the center of the world. Isn't it "elite" to be a high ranking general? Isn't it elite to be able to afford 13 cars and seven homes? They're just talking out of both sides of their mouths.
