The problem with Countdown was that at the end of the series, not much had changed. All these things happened but they didn't really mean anything because the whole series was basically setup for Final Crisis. 52 was awesome and had a story of it's own. Countdown just meandered along and you needed to be reading other series to have it make any sense most of the time.
But I am SOOOO looking forward to The Darkest Night story in the GL books!!
And I'm torn about which I want to laugh at more, poor Tom and his photoshopped DVD cover or CMM and his smoosh face.

When I was reading through the Wiki submission it seemed that way too. To me, the only thing of interest or portent was that Duela realized she was traveling between earths. And maybe that's not the point, but to me it seems that it was going to be important going into Final Crisis.
So is Bart dead *dead* or comic book dead?
And I'm torn about which I want to laugh at more, poor Tom and his photoshopped DVD cover or CMM and his smoosh face.
You know I have to go with Mayhem. I mean, just look at that. We must mock and point and poke him with sticks.
Right now Bart is dead dead. He was beaten to death by the Rogues in broad daylight so there's no mistaken identity or mystic hoo-doo involved. And the scuttle butt is that Barry will be the Flash coming back in FC so it looks like he'll be gone for awhile. Unless he comes back as one of the Black Lanterns.
The travel through the 52 worlds was interesting but it was so brief that the concept was wasted. Plus, I want to punch Jason Todd in the face so anytime he was around I was annoyed. I did like the storyline with Holly and Harley though.

I think there's some history there. I think perhaps in a previous life Chad killed me. There's no reason why my hate of him runs hot like lava from a flowing volcano considering I've only seen him in "House of Wax". It's his face---it offends me.

I'm sure after his whinging and insanity, Batman is happy that he didn't avenge his death. Jason seems like an ass.
