This soooooooo needs to come out in England in some shape or form. Sooooooooo.

Failing that, an eventual US DVD release would satisfy me, because I can play those! *g*

I hope it gets a theatrical release because there's not nearly enough films about people of color and I think this is a perfect example of how a movie about people of color can be mainstream, not a niche film.

i gotta admit, i'm a little jealous you got to go. an opportunity to see a gale movie arises and yet i decide not to act on it...shame, shame, shame, shame on me.

glad to read that you enjoyed the film and the performances.

Ya shoulda RSVP'd there was room and it was really enjoyable. Really cute. Finally a laidback role because he always plays these intense characters.

I'm glad you got to go! Was there a Q&A afterwards? Did you find out who the primary audience was for the screening before they threw it open to fans? (I was assuming it was for potential distributors or buyers, but maybe there weren't enough of those to fill the room).

Thank you for the alert.

No, Q&A although Fay and her producers were there. There was another screening the night before that was sold out, so I'm assuming yesterday's was perhaps for people who couldn't go the night before or for friends. It was only a 45 seat theater and yesterday's screening wasn't filled. I think they just want people to see it so that word of mouth will get out. Talked to Fay, I told her I'll tell everyone about it. And talked to Michelle, who posted the alert on IMDB and told her I'll write a review.

I love your movie reviews, Dawn, and it's really great to hear you enjoyed it so much. Let's hope this gets distribution.

Thank you!

I hope it gets picked up because it is accessible and mainstream, they'd make their money back easily. Gale looks so good (at one point, you can tell where they did reshoots because his hair was longer; The Unit length and I think that's a good length for him) and such a good leading man. He can still play weirdos, I just want him to get a touch of mainstream success. Even if that means not making out with Randy *pouts*
