((((( quiet hugs )))))

The quiet "between" time can really pull on you. Resist, luv. Tomorrow starts a great new adventure, and you will make new friends there, too. Nothing is lost.

*hugs* I understand, I truly do. Even though I knew going in that the contract job at Verizon was of limited duration, I really, REALLY enjoyed it there. But the opportunity at Charter came up, and I couldn't pass up a permanent position just to stay on at Verizon for the five remaining months. In fact, if I had, about now I'd be scrambling around, looking for another position.

But I really liked it, it was a fun group (as my "Quotes from Work" segments probably told you). And I drive by the building all the time (it's only three miles from my house), so I frequently wonder what they're doing.

I know I did the right thing, but it's hard to leave something that you got so attached to. Probably extremely hard for you, since you've spent almost all your working life there.

It won't be the same office without you here but I know that you've done the right thing. You aren't leaving your friends at the office behind, you're blazing the trail for them to follow. You left pieces of yourself peppered throughout this office and everyone who worked with you *will* miss you but they'll still be around so you can talk to them.

And... and... you get a chance to increase your friendships at the new job.

It's a grand adventure and I'm glad that I can be with you as you take it.
