the nature of the hybrid...

see, when your fuel light goes on, the amount of fuel you have left is really like a "bladder" of fuel that it needs to continue running. when you let it run out, it has nothing left to keep running the hybrid system ( Read more... )

you crack me up

glad it ended up being just a minor service issue, and an incident they can share with others at their quarterly meetings

and hence the difference between boys and girls ... as I take the fuel warning light directly as an add fuel now order from my car, which I obey

and of course the dad me has given the daughter unit the "gas up when your fuel gauge is at 1/4, or before ... not later"

if you want, I can adopt you as my on-line daughter, to care for and lecture as I deem necessary ;0)

okie doke

gas up when your tank is at 1/4 full, or before ... not later ... do you realize the things that can happen to a young lass, on the side of the road, in the dark, with a car that won't run? the only news item I want to see you in is for some award winning effort as opposed to the 'missing person' section

don't make me come over and shake you until you agree

how's that?

*chuckle* Oops! Agreed with Russell...

Huh, this would be one of those cases where I'm not the typical female, huh? 'Cause I don't like to shop either. My honey is thrilled.

for some things, especially cars, tools, etc., i'm a total girl. "can you bring me the wrench?" "a wrench?? um... can you describe it???" ;)

but i only like to shop if i know EXACTLY what i'm there to find. i went to a baby shower last weekend. i shopped online and set it for in-store pickup. i picked it up, got one other small thing and a card and left.

i haaaaate spending hours tootling around a store browsing for lord-knows-what i probably don't even need.

and though that was Babies R Us, and i wouldn't be shopping at Babies R Us for myself (yeah, no!), i apply that principle to every store.

*lol* I don't know ALL about tools but I was my Dad's tom boy when I was little so I learned a whole lot of stuff that is absolutely invaluable now.

Reminds me of something I need to post...but I'll do it on my own LJ.
