But for serious, I totally, totally agree on one hand. It was completely disrespectful of them. On the other...there's that whole pesky "freedom of speech" thing and the fact that some people don't know when to exercise it properly.

Yes this is all pretty late haha, but when I made the post she referred to it wasn't just about that..that was just a wonderful example on how people abuse their use of the internet to cause drama haha.

Yea, I'm kind of waiting and seeing if I should change this post to a "friends only" one - 'cause I would rather avoid any drama-drama-conversations. We'll see, if things do get unfriendly as they sometimes do here on LJ, I will change it.

I do think it was that good. ESPECIALLY the conversations it spurred. But I think I'm, until proven wrong, too paranoid about how people will comment to open you up to the possibility of undue harshness.
I've had one too many experiences in LJ comms, where I've posted something and received a bunch of mean'ness back.
So for now, I think I feel good enough with just referencing your post. Thank you so much though! It feels nice to be trusted. We SPN-fans rule! ; )

You seriously need to come to my Subculture class lectures sometime. Seriously. I should forward you my paper which outlines this SPECIFICALLY. It's totally creepy how a fan's infatuation, if intense enough, melds into hatred, resentment, or psychosis of some kind. It has something to do with the non-mutuality of the "relationship" and then the classic "if I can't have him, no one can" mentality (if you are particularly nuts). Aaaand, what else? I mean, fan behavior can be such a psychosis sometimes. Stalkers, for instance, are usually in love with their target and yet they endanger them. It's a crazy, screwed up world, babes.

Good thing I got my demon slaying knife. :D

P.p.s. I'm beyond ridiculous right now - I literally started looking up the saddest music I could think of to try and cry (including: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=blzzLWR_PF8 ). I really want to cry for Dean. I'd better just get to bed and lay my nutso self to rest. Like I say in my post, I know at some point I'll watch that scene and it'll render me a crying mess. Just not today apparently.
